Question 1 of 520%
Question 1 of 5
When you are honest with yourself, which statement feels most like your inner life right now?
A
No matter how much I achieve or how hard I try, I still feel like I am not truly accepted — like being fully myself would cause people to leave.
B
My value feels tied to what I produce. When I am not performing, achieving, or being useful, I do not know who I am or whether I am enough.
C
I have spent so long being unseen and unheard that I have learned to go numb. I stopped expecting people — or even God — to notice what I am carrying.
Question 2 of 5
Which of these patterns shows up most in your life?
A
I find myself constantly seeking validation, apologizing even when I have done nothing wrong, and shrinking so others will not leave or reject me.
B
I cannot rest without guilt. I compare myself constantly. I push harder than I need to — not from passion, but from a fear that slowing down means falling behind.
C
I withdraw. I keep my real feelings inside. I appear fine on the outside while privately feeling invisible, insignificant, and emotionally disconnected.
Question 3 of 5
What lie do you find yourself believing most often — even though you know in your spirit it is not true?
A
“If people truly knew me — all of me — they would not stay. I have to manage how I am perceived just to keep people close.”
B
“If I stop producing, stop achieving, stop being useful — I will have no value. My worth lives in what I do, not who I am.”
C
“My pain is not important enough to speak about. Nobody really wants to hear it, and even if I say something, nothing will change.”
Question 4 of 5
How has this wound shown up in your relationship with God?
A
I struggle to believe God truly chose me — not for what I can do, but just for who I am. I keep waiting to be disqualified.
B
I approach God the same way I approach everything else — with effort. Resting in His grace feels impossible because I am always trying to earn it.
C
I have prayed, but it often feels like God is not close. I have stopped bringing my deepest pain to Him because I do not believe it matters enough.
Question 5 of 5
What would healing actually give you — if you let yourself believe it was possible?
A
The freedom to be completely myself without fear — to love and be loved without managing every interaction or bracing for rejection.
B
The ability to rest without guilt. To know I am enough before I do anything. To pursue purpose from overflow, not desperation.
C
To finally feel seen — by God, by others, and by myself. To stop suppressing what I feel and trust that my voice and my pain actually matter.

Your Soul Wound · From Soul Therapy Work
The Rejection Wound
Often formed from childhood, bullying, or feeling unwanted. It has shaped how you love, how you show up, and how you see yourself — even in your faith.
What This Wound Does
The rejection wound does not always come from one dramatic moment. It often builds quietly — from repeated experiences of not being chosen, not being enough, or not being safe to be fully yourself. Over time it produces an addiction to validation, a fear of abandonment, and an identity confusion that no amount of achievement can fix. You have learned to manage how you are perceived because you believe that being truly known leads to being truly left.
Common Symptoms — From the Soul Therapy Work Framework
  • Constant validation-seeking and approval addiction
  • Overachievement as a way to earn belonging
  • Fear of speaking up or standing out
  • People-pleasing and over-apologizing
  • Identity insecurity — difficulty knowing who you are outside of others’ opinions
❌ The Lie
“If I am truly myself, I will be rejected. I have to manage how I am seen just to keep people close.”
✅ The Healing Truth
“You did not choose me, but I chose you.” — John 15:16. You were chosen before you could perform for it.
Your Next Step
Soul Therapy Work — The Book
Chapter 9 of Soul Therapy Work is written directly for the rejection wound — including a section called “Faith in Action: Rewriting the Narrative of Rejection.” Dr. Dee walks you through the FIRST framework, the FOCUS tool, and a step-by-step soul care plan that addresses the root of rejection, not just the symptoms. This is where your healing begins.

Your Soul Wound · From Soul Therapy Work
The Performance Wound
Rooted in comparison and repeated criticism — often in childhood. It sounds like drive and ambition on the outside. Inside, it is exhaustion wearing the mask of success.
What This Wound Does
The performance wound convinces you that your value lives in what you produce. It drives you to achieve — not from joy, but from a deep fear that slowing down means you will be exposed as not enough. You have built a life that looks impressive from the outside while privately feeling empty after every accomplishment. Rest feels like a threat. Comparison feels like a reflex. And no achievement ever quite satisfies the hole it was supposed to fill.
Common Symptoms — From the Soul Therapy Work Framework
  • Perfectionism and achievement addiction
  • Inability to rest without guilt or anxiety
  • Chronic comparison and feeling perpetually behind
  • Shame when not producing visible results
  • Emotional emptiness after accomplishments that were supposed to bring peace
❌ The Lie
“If I stop performing, I have no value. My worth is in what I do — not who I am.”
✅ The Healing Truth
“My worth is secure in God’s love — not my productivity.” Romans 8:1: “There is now no condemnation.”

Soul Therapy Work — The Book
Chapter 4 — Power Shift Thinking — is the chapter for you. Dr. Dee walks through how trauma impacts the brain, how to identify the thought patterns that keep you in performance mode, and how to use the FOCUS and POWER tools to break the agreement with the lie that your worth requires your output. This chapter alone has changed lives.

Your Soul Wound · From Soul Therapy Work
The Neglect Wound
The wound of being unseen and unheard. It taught you to suppress, withdraw, and go numb — because speaking your pain never seemed to change anything.
What This Wound Does
The neglect wound does not always come from dramatic abandonment. Sometimes it comes from simply never being asked how you really are — from learning early that your emotional needs were too much, too complicated, or simply not a priority. Over time you stopped bringing them. You learned to comfort yourself, to disconnect from your own feelings, and to show up for everyone else from a place that was running empty long before anyone noticed.
Common Symptoms — From the Soul Therapy Work Framework
  • Emotional numbness and difficulty identifying what you actually feel
  • Passivity and withdrawal from relationship or community
  • Suppressing pain rather than expressing it
  • Feeling insignificant — like your needs do not count
  • Difficulty trusting that God or others are truly present with you
❌ The Lie
“My pain is not important enough to speak about. Nobody truly wants to hear it.”
✅ The Healing Truth
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.” — Psalm 34:18. He sees what no one else has seen.
